Local Foods: Food Safety and Marketing Strategies (SDSU On-line Self Study)

Food safety and organizing a farmer's market are the topics addressed in this web-training.  Individuals interested in marketing specialty food products, for example garden produce, will learn about food safety risks, sanitation practices to reduce the risks, regulations and steps to organize a community market.

The lessons in each unit provide the content.  The pre-tests and post-tests are designed to evaluate knowledged gained through completion of the lessons (optional).  Complete all lessons or only ones that address a topic of interest.
